Free PagePeel ad plugin

You probably already noticed the new ad in the top right corner. This type of ad is called pagepeel ad because the page peels away when you move your mouse over it. They’re pretty cool because they’re not intrusive, but play with the user’s curiosity - the moving corner attracts the focus of the reader and suggests that there’s something to discover. Did you try it already?

I just installed it yesterday, but I can already tell that clickthrough rates are pretty high compared to other ads. There are different pagepeel-software packages available on the net. Some are very expensive, some are pretty cheap, some offer more options, others offer less. I am currently testing the one from webpicasso.de, which is available as an easy-to-install wordpress plugin.

The reason why I chose this plugin is obvious: It’s completely free :D . However, until now you can only manage one single ad with this plugin. Maybe they will change that in a future version, but I can live with that for the moment ;)
