Big plans for this blog :)

This blog is now barely six weeks old. The initial phase went pretty good, but now it’s time to do some improvements and get ready for the future:

Server

I started this blog as an experiment on my own server - an old iMac running Debian Etch :) . This was a nice toy, but it’s not a basis for any serious project. The machine is pretty old, so not really reliable and somehow slow. Today I ordered webspace at a Swiss hosting company, I plan to move my blog tomorrow.

Layout / Theme

I still like the layout of this theme, but I always have some trouble with it. Although it is widget ready, it somehow messes up the widget boxes - especially if they come from plugins. Besides that, I want to do some other changes to improve the look.

Newsletter

Yeah, I didn’t have one so far. But since more people visit this blog every day, I start thinking about setting up a newsletter. As soon as everything runs fine on the new server, I will take a closer look at it.

Money

Blogging is fun and I really like doing it, but I wouldn’t mind a few extra bucks :) . I started working with a couple of advertisement / affiliate networks. Time will show which networks / ads / products perform good and which ones don’t. As soon as I get some reproducible results, I will post them ;)
